This is eventful. I was diagnosed with cancer two months ago and I am still under treatment. Of course, this doesn't prevent me from attending my own show. My health is unlikely to worsen because of it.
Way back, in September 1969, I had my first one-man show of paintings in GALLERY RAMPART, Rampart Row, Mumbai. Then in December 1975, I had my second show at the Museum of Modern Art, University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA. Then my painter friend Bhaskar Hande took some of my works around Europe along with the works of other artists from 1985 to 1988.
I moved to Pune in 1985. There I joined a group of younger local artists called Friends of Visual Arts. I showed my works in group shows.
I have been fortunate to sell my work regularly at good prices. But even if I didn't, I would go on painting. I've been at it since I was a child and by now it is part of my nature.
